10-22-14 Yesterday I reread this book and it was even better the second time around. There was plenty of sweet romance and it was exceptionally hilarious! I kid you not...I laughed so hard that I found myself wiping my tears of laughter off my face every couple of pages. There were also a few tears shed but not because of sadness. Quite the opposite. The sweetness of Justin's actions and feelings towards Cara is so refreshing. I grow weary of the amount of angst that are found in most books these days and I just wanted a happy, angst-free read and this was it. This book was a clean romance and the main characters were a definition of 'Christian.' Finding a celebrity (soft rock band member) with innocence, morals and God as their guide was extremely uplifting and made me think that happily ever after just may not be impossible.Cara McKenzie is a 30-year-old woman who works for the local hospital and feels she is ordinary and different. She's a klutz and you will love the messes she gets herself 'stuck' in. She is solely responsible for a hospital charity event and with the budget given she is struggling to find entertainment. Cara made contact with the band manager of a group she wanted to perform but the manager turned her down, not enough money.
Justin Nichols, 23-years-old is unhappy with his manager for turning down a gig and immediately flies to meet with the person in charge of the charity. He wants his band to perform and Cara needs entertainment. A perfect fit.
What happens when these two come together is wonderful, hilarious, romantic and a NOT to miss book. I highly recommend it and if I could have given it more stars I would have.

This was a fun lighthearted read that I really enjoyed! Ironically, some of the situations hit a little too close to home, especially the dishwasher. If you are looking for a funny easy read - look no further.
It was a very enjoyable read. The characters were great and at times a little unbelievable. Always fun to find Mr. Right!
This is a book that has both serious and humorous scenes and you would have to be a real grouch not to enjoy reading it. Really refreshing.
I laughed out loud and really needed to. Since it's the first "just for the heck of it" book I've read in a long while, I had to read it straight through. Your humor is laugh provoking. Great to hang out with this crowd for a few hours. J-L
This was a cute story. It showed that a girl, who wasn't perfect (size, etc.) could still find a great Godly man to love and someone who loved her flaws and all. He thought se was perfect.
Okay, I have to admit... I don't have a very good sense of humor. You usually have to hit me over the head with a joke for me to get it. This book though had me laughing out loud -- many times -- enough said. )
I found THE CELEBRITY AND THE SMALL-TOWN GIRL, a totally enjoyable book from beginning to end -- great plot, characters and setting.
I do not choose many 5 starts but this book was truly a joy to read. I am not quite finished with it but have thoroughly enjoyed it thus far. Great romance with plenty of comedy & sparring back in forth with the characters. It is so refreshing to actually read a clean romance that can keep you interested & is not boring. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to reading more of your work!
Update I just finished reading this book. While it was fast paced, it was truly a great read. The reference to John 316 at the end truly touched my heart....I just referenced this same scripture this morning on my Facebook page!
